Silver Lake Recreation Area
Silver Lake is well known as a family retreat with facilities for swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking, camping and relaxing. The park includes a handicap fishing pier, boat docks on both the north and south side of the lake, swimming beach, bathhouse, picnic shelter, BBQ grills, playground, primitive camping, and RV camping with electricity and dump station available.
The lake covers approximately 100 acres of land and is fed by the Wild Rice River. Silver Lake has a man-made dam that creates a natural reservoir for northern pike, crappie, perch, and walleye in depths up to 14 feet for the enthusiastic fisherman. Directions to Silver Lake from Milnor - 10 miles west on Highway 13, 13 miles south on Highway 32, 3 miles east and 1/2 mile south.
