Civic Groups, Clubs and Organizations within Milnor
The Milnor community is also very active in a large variety of different groups and activities around the city and around the area. A number of different groups are active in town; among them are the 4-H Club, Lutheran Brotherhood, the Knights of Columbus, the Milnor Community Gardening Club, the Satellite Club and the Milnor Merry Makers.
Satellite Club
The Satellite Club is a non-profit, community-wide organization that has dedicated themselves to stimulate recreational activities, recognize outstanding achievements, extent a helping hand for those in need, assist senior citizens and take an active role in improving our community.
The Satellite Club sponsors the Dinner Theater each February where the Galaxie Award is given to the most outstanding person of the year, the Miss Milnor Pageant, a scholarship to a deserving student and a Halloween costume parade. This group also donates each year to the area churches, the park, the library, Post Prom and RIF.
The Satellite Club, along with the VFW and the American Legion recently built the Freedom Park on an abandoned lot on Main Street. The park includes a gazebo, a variety of trees and a monument recognizing the veterans from our community. A variety of community gatherings have been held here including Centennial events, homecoming/school events and Wednesday night music, fun and food.
Milnor Merry Makers Senior Citizens Club
The Milnor Merry Makers Senior Citizens Club is the largest and most active senior club in Sargent County with about 43 members.
Approximately 30 to 35 members get together for meals four day a week, Tuesday thru Fridays and deliver meals to shut-ins. The Merry Makers meet once a month on the third Monday, hold an occassional potluck dinner in the evening and have a pot-luck birthday party once a month. The group gets together for cards and bingo on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Gardening Clubs
Two community gardening groups of volunteers have turned two vacant Milnor lots into community gardens in the past two years. Residents volunteer their time, talents, seeds and plants and the produce is offered to anyone who would like to pick or delivered for those who can not. Blooming plants add color, beauty and pleasing aromas for the residents to enjoy.
