Building Permit
Building Permit Required. No building or structure shall be erected, added to or structurally altered; updates to the outside-to include but not limited to siding, roofing, or windows; or updates to the inside of the premises that exceed $5000.00 until a permit has been issued by the Milnor City Council. All applications for such permits shall be in accordance with the requirements herein and no such building permit or certificate of occupancy shall be issued for any building where said construction, addition or alteration or use thereof would be in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter.
Matter Accompanying Application. There shall be submitted with all applications for building permits two copies of a layout or plot drawn to scale showing the actual dimensions of the lot to be built upon, the exact size and location on the lot of the building and accessory buildings to be erected and such other information as may be necessary to determine and provide for the enforcement of this ordinance. Additionally, applicant shall submit a payment of building permit fee with the submission of all other application materials.
Approval of Permit. One copy of such layout or plot plan shall be returned to the applicant when the building permit has been approved and issued by the Milnor City Council.
Building Permit Fee. The building permit fee shall be $25.00. The Milnor City Council may change, reconsider, and adjust the building permit fee for all applications through adoption of a resolution.
The Building Permit form is required before starting any new building or remodeling projects, moving an existing building or demolishing a structure.

Note: This permit is regulated by ordinance of the City. Any and all permits may be revoked for cause by action of the City Council.
If sidewalk is damaged and needs to be replaced, owner is required by the city to repair and replace with NDDOT Class AE-3 concrete.
Dog Licenses
All dogs within the City of Milnor must be licensed and a copy of proof of vaccination is required to obtain a dog license. Additional information needed includes: Name, Color, Breed, Male or Female, Neutered, Spayed or Unadulterated. Dog licenses are available at City Hall for $10.00.
Licenses are due yearly.
Failure to license a dog is a violation of city ordinance and is subject to a fine not to exceed $500.00 and shall be fined not less than $10.00.
Non-profit or Charitable Gaming Operation
This form must be completed in order to operate a Non-profit or Charitable Gaming Operation within the city of Milnor, ND. This permit also applies to any raffles, bingo, betting pools, poker, calendar raffles, 21-Games or raddlewheels.
