The City of Milnor is located in southeast North Dakota along North Dakota Highway 13 in a bustling community of agriculture and industry. Our community is very progressive with a variety of businesses, three churches, an activity center, an excellent park and recreational system, golf course, swimming pool, library and school.

Our community enjoys ultra-high speed fiber-optic connections to all our homes and businesses which brings a quality of life that allow us to enjoy the safety, security and slower pace of our rural community without compromising our education or health care needs.

  • Business district with a variety of stores and businesses which include the following types of businesses:  grocery store, grill/restaurant, clinic,  post office, variety store, newspaper, convenience store, gas stations, bank/credit union, vehicle and tire repair, electrical/HVAC, plumbing, car wash, farm equipment, auto body repair, elevator, liquor store, veterinary, small engine repair, beauty/barber shop, funeral home, tree removal service along with many smaller businesses that meet a number of needs in the community.
  • K thru 12 Public School system offering a variety of courses and college credit work.  The school also offers a variety of sports including basketball, football, track and volleyball.  Other extracurricular activities offered are Speech, Drama, FBLA, Yearbook, Science Fair, Student Council and Academic Olympics.
  • Public Library with fiction and non-fiction books, accelerated readers for school age children, best sellers and inter-library loans
  • Three Churches, Catholic, Lutheran and Methodist.
  • Childcare Center and Preschool licensed for up to 72 children.
  • Activity Center of over 15,000 square feet open to the public and school for fitness and used for a variety of community and athletic events.

  • Community Foundation with a permanent endowment, vested at $4.7M allowing yearly income to be used for improvements in the Milnor community.
