Satellite Club
The Satellite Club is a non-profit, community-wide organization that has dedicated their time to stimulate recreational activities, recognize outstanding achievements, have taken an active role in improving our community and extended a helping hand for a variety of projects.
Each year the Satellite Club sponsors a dinner where the Galaxie Award is given to the most outstanding person of the year, organizes the Miss Milnor Pageant, promotes a scholarship to a deserving student and arranges several holiday parties for children. This group also donates to the area churches, the park, the library, Post Prom and RIF.
The Satellite Club, along with the VFW and the American Legion recently built the Freedom Park on Main Street. The park includes a gazebo, beautiful trees and flowers and a monument recognizing the veterans from our community. A variety of community gatherings have been held here including homecoming, school events and Wednesday night music, fun and food. Watch for advertisements in June, July and August for a variety of fun filled activities at the Freedom Park.
