 Garbage

The City of Milnor garbage pickup is on Tuesdays, unless it is a holiday. Garbage must be bagged or boxed and placed in the alley or in front of your residence, depending upon the common practice on your street.

Large items must be hauled by the homeowner to the city's inert landfill. Other items that will not be picked up with regular garbage include lawn/garden waste, tree branches, shingles, cement, sheetrock or metal. Paint cans can be left with household garbage if they are empty and the covers are left off. If you need to dispose of paint cans that are not empty, you need to mix the paint with cat litter and leave outside with the lid off until it dries up.  Once the paint is dry, you can leave it in your household garbage.

Pick up - couches, chairs, mattresses and box springs will be picked up if left with other garbage.  There may be an extra charge.  Please check with Storbakken Sanitation, Inc. or the City office.

The monthly garbage rate is $22.00.

Recycling - the monthly charge for recycling one bin is $5.08 per month for residential and $5.62 per month for businesses.  Each additional bin is $2.82 each month.  Recycling bins can be obtained from the City at no charge.
